Fire protection Controls
Nothing is as important to us as the word “pre”. It means “before” and sums up our approach – to think before and anticipate risks so that fires do not occur, and to ensure that damage is minimised in the event that an unavoidable incident arises. We carry out occasional or periodic inspections of your fire protection system in individual plants or your entire property portfolio, including residential properties as well as all industrial businesses premises.
At PRE, we have a holistic approach
To provide systematic fire prevention, tailored to your business needs and as required by law , we have a holistic approach in everything we do. In the same way that you would not install an expensive security door at the front entrance when you have an unsecured entrance from the rear garden, we will ensure that your solutions are consistent with your requirements and work together with all other elements of your system.
Fire prevention controls
In our fire safety checks, we review the design of the building and oversee measures that can protect against fire and reduce damage in case of fire . We look first at the main areas; compartment boundaries, evacuation, fire appliances and equipment. We make an inventory of all parts that must function in the event of fire e.g. fire compartments, fire seals , escape routes, evacuation plans, fire extinguishers, smoke hatches, fire hydrants, fire dampers, fire shutters, fire doors, personal protective equipment, signage and other preventive installations. We also have experts in active fire protection as sprinklers, fire alarms, emergency alarms, fixed fire-fighting system that can help to maintain and control these.
Our system Safe Book may keep track of all the parts of your fire protection
Every single item or component that has anything to do with your fire safety system is given a name and number and is documented in our database system . At each inspection, every item is checked and anything that needs fixing, or needs to be flagged up at each check is recorded in Safe Book. In addition, every fault that has been found and fixed during the inspection is recorded. Corrective action outstanding is given a priority rating and can be monitored and recorded as complete when remedial action has been taken. Safe Book can then provide the customer with a systematic overview as to the fire protection readiness of the business together with supporting detail on work outstanding, work done etc.
You would then get a written report on the detail of all fire prevention inspections conducted showing any flaws or issues that should be further investigated. Safe Book is web based and customers are also able to access their fire safety data on-line.
